Full-time RVers sharing places, potholes & possibilities 🛣️
This is how we RV! 🎉

We saw these signs as we connected through MIA on We saw these signs as we connected through MIA on our way to pick up Al and Doug, and we just had to share. We were laughing so hard we almost “wet our plants” ourselves (not to mention the confused stares we got from all the other travelers).

What a perfect, punny reminder of our quest to see all 63 U.S. National Parks. With St. John officially in the books, our current count is 53, leaving just 10 to go! 🚙💨

The finish line is in sight, but we still say it’s more about the journey than the destination. It might be a while before we officially complete the scorecard, and we’re perfectly okay with that. Onward to Orlando! ✈️🚐

Spent the morning snorkeling around Waterlemon Cay and we spotted this green sea turtle grazing in the seagrass beds just off the cay. Pure magic under the surface!
For the second day, we are cruising over to St. Jo For the second day, we are cruising over to St. John from the Red Hook ferry terminal on St. Thomas. All vehicles, including large trucks, have to back on in very tight lanes, and it can be a tight squeeze. We’ve made it 3 times so far, so hopefully we’ll have the same luck on this afternoon’s return. 🤞⛴️🚙

Did you know these guys are actually living legacies? They were originally brought to the island centuries ago to work on sugar plantations. When the industry faded, the donkeys were set free, and now they roam the hills of the Virgin Islands National Park. 🌴

Here’s a recap of our Monorail Bar Crawl at Disney Here’s a recap of our Monorail Bar Crawl at DisneyWorld earlier this week:

We drank our way from the Contemporary to the Polynesian to The Grand Floridian and lived to tell the tale (barely).

The Highlights:

• Best Vibe: Trader Sam’s 🌺

• Best Sip: Hawaiian Mule at Tambu Lounge 🍍

• Best Service: The Steakhouse 71 team for treating Donna like the Princess she is. 👑

• Most Disappointing Sip: The HippopotoMai-Tai at Trader Sam’s. 🍹

• Most Difficult Achievement: Waking up the next morning. 🥴😵‍💫

We would do it again, but next time: More snacks, fewer stops! 🥨

Did you know there is a once-a-year parade at Disn Did you know there is a once-a-year parade at Disney World that is so exclusive it’s almost never publicized? 🤫🎭✨

Today we experienced the legendary **Pargo Parade** at Port Orleans Resort! Every Mardi Gras, the Cast Members from different departments decorate golf carts (pargos) and create their own costumes to compete for the best float. This year’s theme was **”Heroes and Villains,”** and the creativity was next level! 🦸‍♂️🦹‍♀️

We showed up super early to snag a spot on the route (totally unnecessary, but we were excited! 😂), and it was such a blast. The Cast Members were so enthusiastic, handing out heaps of candy and Mardi Gras beads—all in a very family-friendly, Disney-fied way (IYKWIM! 🤫📿).

Since it’s about 95% resort guests only, it felt like a true hidden gem. We are so glad we heard about it and made the trip over from The Campsites at Fort Wilderness. If you’re ever here for Fat Tuesday, don’t miss it! 💜💚💛

Laissez les bons temps rouler! 🎷🥁

Continuing our tour of free things to do at Walt D Continuing our tour of free things to do at Walt Disney World, today we took the boat to Magic Kingdom to the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge. First of all, it’s the coolest Disney property we’ve ever seen, but it’s also where you can get up close to the animals on the savanna. We also had a really wonderful conversation with, Fifi, a safari guide from Botswana who’s here for a 12-month engagement with Disney.
Two weekends of magic and we’re just getting start Two weekends of magic and we’re just getting started! ✨ From Main Street USA in Anaheim with our adult kids last weekend to the campfire life at Fort Wilderness with Doug this weekend. 🚐🏰

California was a blast, as always, especially doing the parks with the kids, but there’s something special and indescribable about the vibe here at Fort Wilderness 🌲🔥 And Doug is absolutely loving all the attention from, as he says, the little hoomans wif da big earz on dey hedz. He says that he has just met them and he loves them. Also, he wants to know how his toys got so big! 🐿️

We are soaking up every minute of this cross-country Disney adventure! More to come... 👋

A view of the Middle Keys from the Saddle 🚲 and fr A view of the Middle Keys from the Saddle 🚲 and from the Air 🚁

We’ve been cyclists for almost 40 years, so one of the best parts of living full-time in the Airstream is being able to hit some of the most iconic roads in the country on two wheels.

We put in some miles through Marathon and crossed the Seven Mile Bridge to Pigeon Key, then back to Marathon Park, and Tom’s Cut Harbor Bridge. We kept the bikes on the pavement and sent the drone up to capture the scale. There’s no better way to see the Middle Keys (or anywhere for that matter) than from a bike, and no better way to see the ride than from the air.

Reflecting on an amazing two-month Florida Keys re Reflecting on an amazing two-month Florida Keys residency. 🏝️ Leaving is never easy, especially after six weeks in the Lower Keys, but tomorrow we pull up the stabilizers and start heading north. But here’s the best part of life on wheels: there’s always another sunset waiting around the bend. We’re sad to leave the salt air behind, but excited for the adventures waiting down the road. 🚐💨

David found Sammy Creek Landing while he was out b David found Sammy Creek Landing while he was out building cycling miles, and it turned out to be the perfect final paddle before we leave the Lower Keys. 🚲➡️🛶

Why we loved it:
🌿 The Mangroves: A winding, peaceful maze. If you follow the tide, you can navigate these all the way toward the Gulf side.
🏝️ The Atlantic Flats: Shallow sandbars and crystal-clear flats where sea birds hunt for food.
🧽 The Wildlife: We spotted some massive Loggerhead Sponges. These “living hotels” are a staple of the Keys’ ecosystem and a sign of a healthy flat. (tip of the hat to the guide from @biscaynenationalparkinstitute on our Boca Chita Key trip back in December).

Putting in here is super easy, although there’s a very small parking lot so you may have to park out on the road. Also, make sure to check the tide charts before you go. We were surprised by how strong the current was as it rushed from the mangroves out to the Atlantic. It reminded us of a Seiche on the Great Lakes. It’s amazing how much water moves through these ‘cuts’ when the tide is ebbing!! 🌊
